How the kitchen tools work

Can PantrySwap convert a whole recipe?

Yes. Paste the ingredient list, one ingredient per line exactly as the recipe writes it, and the converter matches every ingredient it recognises and shows the swaps that fit. Unrecognised lines stay visible and say so rather than disappearing.

Does the recipe converter keep my recipe if I click a swap?

Yes. The pasted recipe and the diet filter are kept in this browser for the rest of your visit, so you can open an ingredient page to read the detail and come back to the same conversion.

What is pantry mode?

It works backwards. Instead of starting from the ingredient you have run out of, you list what is actually in your cupboard and PantrySwap finds every recipe ingredient those items could stand in for. Your pantry list is kept in this browser between visits.

Is saving swaps free?

Yes. Saving swaps to your library is free and unlimited, with no account. Premium adds the whole-recipe conversion, pantry mode, the shopping list and the printable kitchen card.

Where is my kitchen data stored?

In your browser only. There is no account and nothing about your recipes, your pantry or your saved swaps is sent anywhere, which also means the data is per-device.
